To the editor:
In this time of extreme drought, I would like to commend Attorney Fly and his constituents for their ability to stop the Columbia Dam. Had it not been for them, we would have a nice lake for sportsmen and recreation and a great water supply. I would also like to give them the approximate $10 million that we have been paying extra on our water bills over the years to build a museum for the snail darters. But we in Marshall County still won as we have runoff streams from a large landfill/garbage dump in which no snail darter -- or fish for that matter -- can survive.
