New members Marilyn and Tommy Newcomb.
The Marshall County Woman's Club enjoyed a finger-food dinner recently at the country home of Jeff and Sharon Borne. Husbands and guests were invited to attend. After a tour of the one hundred plus year old residence on Pickle Road, Marion Owen made the opening prayer and blessing. After the meal, club president Pat Stewman gave a detailed list of plans for the remaining months of the year.
Nancy Crowder was in charge of games and recreation. Nancy Dunn, the only charter member of the club, told an interesting story on the start of the Woman's Club back in 1962.
We were happy to have as guests Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Newcomb, who later became members. The group adjourned with plans to attend "The Wizard of Oz" in September.
