Johns-Lamb unite in candlelight ceremony
The Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Chapel Hill was the scene of the candlelight wedding of Lori Beth Johns and Jed Scott Lamb on June 30.
The bride is the daughter of Cathy Johns of Lewisburg and Mr. and Mrs. David Johns of Chapel Hill. She is the grand daughter of the late Selvin and Virginia Tidwell of Lewisburg and Rachel Johns and the late N.C. Johns of Chapel Hill.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Lamb of Chapel Hill. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Houston Bryant and Ralph and the late Faye Lamb, all of Chapel Hill.
Friends and family attended the candlelight ceremony performed by Rev. Calvin Lunn of Columbia. Music was provided by pianist Sandra Hill. Vocalist was Autumn Beckham, friend of the bride.
Mendy Johns Duty of Mt. Juliet, sister of the bride, served as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Janet Jones Baxter, Laura Howell English, Tabatha Gilliam, Jennifer Beckham Yeager, Erica Phillips, Katie Greenwell and Beth Gaylon Fugate, all close friends of the bride. Flower girls were RuthAnn Johns, niece of the bride, and Neely Johns, cousin of the bride.
Jeremy Lamb, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Brian Johns, brother of the bride, Ed Sweeney, Tanner Copeland, Jason Mealer, Clifford Love, Jerry Rzemieniewski and Lindsey Cook, all friends of the groom. Blaize Sweeney, nephew of the bride, served as ringbearer.
Ushers were Jason Daughrity and Brent Daughrity, both cousins of the groom, and Ryan Perryman and Brittain Joyce, friends of the groom.
After their honeymoon in Destin Beach, Fla. The couple resides at their home in Chapel Hill.
