Mary Helen Womack Jones, 83, of Lewisburg, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at NHC Merihil in Lewisburg.
A native of Warren County, Mrs. Jones was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church of Lewisburg and the former owner of Apple Valley Antiques for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady Monroe Womack and Icie Mae Haley Womack; her husband, I.R. Randle Jones, who died in 1995; and two sons, Benton Jones, who died in 2005, and Danny Charles Jones, who died in 1948.
Mrs. Jones is survived by a son, David (Karen) Jones of Shelbyville; two daughters, Mary Etta (Harry) Moorachian of South Carolina; Carol (Lloyd) Cross of Lewisburg; two brothers, Benton Womack of McMinnville and Carl Womack of Nashville; one sister, Martha Bilyeu of Brentwood, Tenn.; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at First Baptist Church in Lewisburg with Dr. Tom Dumser and Paul Woodford officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, at 2:30 p.m. Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation was Tuesday, Nov. 20, and also on Wednesday one hour prior to service time.
Pallbearers are Joe Heneger, Bubba Russell, Parker Jones, Jackie Haley, Jeff Womack, Bill Horner. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
