Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Bolden Bucy, 79, of Eagleville., died Mon., Nov. 19, 2007, in Smyrna, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Bucy was a native of Rutherford County and a homemaker.

Mrs. Bucy was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Mattie Eliza Sanders Bolden; her first husband, Ernest "Dogman" Pruitt, who died in 1998; and her later husband, Charles Murphy Bucy, who died in 2006.

She is survived by three daughters, Melissa Ferrel of Lavergne, Judy Jernigan of Murfreesboro, and Rita Haskins of Eagleville; two sons, Bobby D. Pruitt of Murfreesboro, and Billy C. Pruitt of Smyrna.; two sisters, Dot Griffy of the Holts Corner community of Marshall County and Frances Justice of College Grove; three brothers, Thomas Bolden of Franklin, Edd Bolden of Murfreesboro, and Earl Bolden of Eagleville; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Wed., Nov. 21, in the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Leathers officiating. Interment will follow at Simpson Cemetery in Bedford County.
