On any given Friday at Westhills Elementary Scho-ol, visitors can view a sea of red throughout the building. That's because Fridays are Red Shirt Friday, held in honor of our men and women serving in the military, and WES is leading the charge in donning their red shirts.

WES teacher assistant Donna McClure is one of the Westhills employees heading up Red Shirt Friday. Donna's husband, Wendell, is currently at Camp Bucca in Iraq serving with B Company 1st/181 FA. When he's not serving our country as a soldier, Wendell serves our school system as the I.T./Computer Network Ad-ministrator.

Donna, a member of the Family Readiness Group, recently took part in a campaign to sell the red shirts which declare "Red Shirt Friday, We Support Our Troops!" The proceeds from the sales will help to fill Christmas stockings for the troops and purchase Christmas presents for the soldiers' children.

Wendell and Donna are beloved members of the Marshall County School System family. And everyone in this family wishes Wendell a safe return, and Donna, Ryan and Tyler (the McClures' children) the love and comfort a close "family" can provide.
