Mr. Lyle Everett Wassell Jr., 64, of Lewisburg, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at his residence.
Mr. Wassell was a veteran of the Navy who served two tours in Vietnam. He was a service technician for Ikon and Xerox Corporation and a member of the Bethbirei Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Wassell Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Weatherly of Medford, Ore.; wife, Donnetta Crawford Wassell; daughter, Alina May (Joseph) Adinolf of Arcadia, Calif.; son, Wayne Anthony Wassell of San Dimas, Calif.; brother, Tim (Jan) Wassell of Nashville; sister Gale (Rick) Vezie of Portland, Ore.; two stepchildren, Tracey Crawford and Troy (Alicia) Crawford; six grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with the Rev. Claude McMillion officiating. Burial will follow in Bethbirei Cemetery with full military honors.
Pallbearers will be provided by the Naval Reserve. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Armed Forces.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday, Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.
