Roger Dale Rubert
Mr. Roger Dale Rubert, 52, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at his residence in Culleoka.
Mr. Rubert was a native of Marshall County. He was an employee of Smurfit Stone Container Board in Lewisburg, a former longtime employee of Union Carbide, and a member of the Smyrna Church of Christ. He was an avid fisherman and a devoted father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Rubert, Jr.; brother, Jerry Lane Rubert; and niece, Jamie Rubert.
He is survived by his mother, Eleanor Ervin Rubert of Culleoka; wife, Debra Dianne Ashworth Rubert of Culleoka; three sons, Bryan Rubert of Culleoka, Billy Joe Rubert of Iowa, Jason (Kris) Francis of Summertown; sister, Connie (Ross) Pullen of Columbia; three grandchildren; two nieces; two nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home, Columbia, with Jimmy Ketchum officiating, followed by burial in Haynes Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jesse Lyons, Jimmy Scribner, Richard Allen, Doyle Brannon, Jeff McKay and Donald Holcomb. Honorary pallbearers were Eugene Ashworth, Buddy Ashworth, Bonni Ashworth, employees of Smurfit Stone and former co-workers at Union Carbide.
