Janie F. Woodard
Mrs. Janie F. Woodard, 90, of Macon, Ga., died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at her residence.
Mrs. Woodard was born in Climax, Ga., She was educated in Murfreesboro, did graduate work at Peabody College in Nashville, and earned a master's degree in special education from Middle Georgia College. She taught first grade at Joseph N. Neel and at Agnes Barden Elementary schools in Macon, retiring in 1983. After her retirement, she volunteered her time reading in the public schools. She was a member of Trinity Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. Woodard was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Erven and Mark Leland Funderburck; and husband, John Russell Woodard.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Anne (Larry) Bishop of Pigeon Forge, Tenn,; and two grandchildren.
Memorial services were conducted Monday, Dec. 10, at Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Macon with the Rev. Robert L. Brown Sr. officiating. Burial was Wednesday, Dec. 12, in Bryant Cemetery.
