Mr. Willard Dale Hughes, 59, of Lewisburg, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007. He was a native of Arkansas, a retired General Motors engineer, and a member of East Commerce Baptist Church where he taught a Sunday school class.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lovie Hall Hughes; granddaughter, Aurora Crystal Hughes; and brother-in-law, Gregory Wayne Shinn.
He is survived by his father, James C. Hughes of Hot Springs, Ark.; wife, Sheila Shinn Hughes of Lewisburg; son, Christopher Wayne Hughes and friend Sabra Ball of Asheville, N.C.; a granddaughter; father- and mother-in-law Milton and Arcielle Shinn of Bismarck, Ark.; two brothers, Danny Hughes of Hot Springs, Ark., and Arnold (Sherry) Hughes of Bedford, Ind.; four sisters, Margaret (Phil) Hildebrand of Indianapolis, Ind.; Doris (Mike) Richardson of Bedford, Ind.; Jeanette Burroughs of Hot Springs, Ark.; and Angelee Elizabeth Fisher of Bedford, Ind.
Services will be held Dec. 19 at Regency Chapel, Malvern, Ark., with Pastor James Hickey of Lewisburg and the Rev. Kenneth Bray officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Burroughs, Alan Hughes, Mike Richardson, Jason Hughes, Harold Hughes, Wendell Allen, Johnny White, and Carroll Hughes. Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult II Sunday school class of East Commerce Baptist Church.
