Day Care rallies around

"It's made Christmas for us out here," Betty Ann Ogilvie, director of Wee Care Inc., says about the angel tree standing in the lobby of the Lewisburg day care.

Skylar Lee, 5, had only been at Wee Care for a few weeks last summer when she was diagnosed with leukemia. Skylar spent a month at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital and has been undergoing chemotherapy that will continue weekly until at least February.

The illness has been devastating for the young family. Parents Jeremy and Melissa both had new jobs in Franklin and are buying a house on Chance Avenue in Lewisburg. Both lost their jobs and Melissa is not able to go back to work because she has to stay home to take care of Skylar and her baby sister.

Ogilvie and the Wee Care staff decided they wanted to help the Lee family this Christmas. So they asked the family for a wish list of gifts and necessities, and divided ...for more of this story pick up the December 19th edition.
