The Hickman County Lady Bulldogs gave the Marshall County High School Tigerettes all they could handle for a half Friday night in Lewisburg. But the Class AA defending state runners-up showed the kind of grit and determination that took them so far last year as they outscored Hickman 21-7 in the third quarter that propelled them to a 60-38 victory to move to 10-1 on the season.
The Tigerettes showed their versatility and depth once again as they displayed a balanced scoring attack with three players in double figures, led by Jessica "The Assassin" McQueen's 18 points, with 15 coming from three-point land.
Lauren March had another solid performance, pouring in 15 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and blocking five shots. McKenna Moffett was also stout, scoring 12 points and running the point to perfection for the ladies from Lewisburg.
Jakerra Simmons continued her hot hand with all 9 of her points coming in the paint.
