"I don't care if it is two overtimes or 20 overtimes, this is a quality win for us," Forrest Head Coach Davy McClaran said after the marathon. "The whole team has heart, they are just a bunch of go getters and I want to quote Nick Schnapp, my glue in the huddle, when he told Colin (Henson) in the huddle after he missed the potential game winner in regulation. 'Don't worry,' he said, 'I have missed a million tonight, we just gotta believe that we can win.'"
The Rockets never led in the first half as they went down early in the first quarter. They fought back on a Kyle Anglin three-pointer off of a Preston Pratt steal to trail by just one at 10-9 with three minutes left. The Trojans built the lead back to 16-9 before Pratt nailed a jumper at the buzzer to make it 16-11 going into the second.
