Ayla Young nails the game tying three-pointer with 20.8 left in the first overtime in Forrest's 62-56 victory over Collinwood.

Can you say instant classic! For all of the fans who were in attendance at the Waynesboro Christmas Classic Thursday night, the duel between the Forrest Lady Rockets and the Collinwood Trojanettes will be one that will go down in history in mid-state basketball annals.

The Lady Rockets edged Collinwood 62-56 in a double overtime thriller in front of a packed house. In the process they sent a resounding message that they are hungry again and are looking for redemption after last year's letdown loss versus eventual state champion Gleason in a TSSAA quarterfinal.

Head Coach Robby Reasonover said after the game, "This was a big win for us. I guess it puts us back on the map. It was a big win versus a quality opponent and to come to their county and win was huge."
