If you haven't been to the Farm Center on South Ellington Parkway lately, you need to go and check out the new popcorn machine.

Owner Bill McCullough and his wife Nancy have a long tradition of serving peanuts for the customers to nibble on, and as Bill said, "When the peanuts get stale we need something for the people to graze on."

They saw the popcorn machine listed among the items up for auction in an estate sale and Nancy was sent to buy it.

That was Saturday, the first of December. By the following Friday McCullough popped his first batch. He had taken the machine to pieces, cleaned every part, researched it on the Internet, gotten the missing parts from the company, and put it all back together.
