The Johnson family name is one of many in Lewisburg that is synonymous with the sports culture that continues to grow and flourish in this town. Go anywhere in the state and when people ask where you are from, the response "Lewisburg" immediately turns into a conversation about sports.

Marshall County High School is known as a championship school that continues to produce great athletes that sign scholarships to many of the best schools in the South. A few go on to have great college careers and play pro ball.

Recent additions to the list include 2007 Mr. Football winner Don'ta Hightower, who will play with the Crimson Tide next fall. Seth Lintz is traveling north to the Bluegrass State to play baseball. His sister Paij took her 2005 softball championship trophy to UT Martin, where she is still excelling. Justin McQueen and Judd Stoltz are off to Columbia State and MTSU following their diamond dreams.
