Gayle Ingram Harris
Mrs. Gayle Ingram Harris, 72, of Starkville, Miss., died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, at her residence, following a long illness.
Mrs. Harris was a native of Giles County. She was a homemaker, and had been a Girl Scout leader and an executive secretary at Mississippi State University. She and her late husband moved to Starkville in 1968, when Borden Milk transferred him from Lewisburg. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Starkville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Rachel Ingram; and her husband, William L. Harris.
She is survived by her son, David (Anita) Harris and daughter Pamela Harris Warnken, both of Starkville; sister Carolyn Ingram (Eric) White of New Braunfels, Texas.; brothers Wayne (Kathy) Ingram of Lewisburg and Larry (Sharon) Ingram of Winchester, Tenn.; one grandson; and 13 nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 18, in Lone Oak Cemetery. Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
