'Good guys'

Wednesday, January 16, 2008
The Lewisburg Fire Department has received a certificate recognizing that they have completed all the requirements for enrollment in the Tennessee Commission on Fire Fighting's program on personnel standards and education. For the 21 full-time and three part-time Lewisburg fire fighters it means that they will receive $600 each per year for participating in continuing education, with written work done here and practical classes completed in Columbia or at the academy in Deason. 'We've got good guys here, and good equipment,' says Fire Chief Larry Williams.
