Glenn Hamlin Hopkins
Mr. Glenn Hamlin Hopkins, 73, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at his residence.
Mr. Hopkins was a native of Giles County. He was employed by Wright & Lopez Construction for 39 years and retired from serving for 12 years as area manager for Star Construction. He was a member of the Spring Hill Lions Club for 36 years, served as a Spring Hill Alderman, and was the Spring Hill representative on the Maury County Tax Advisory Board for many years. Mr. Hopkins was a member of the Spring Hill Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Marguerite Hamlin Hopkins; and his wife of 44 years, Wilma L. Hopkins.
He is survived by his sons, Brian (Kimberly) Hopkins of Santa Fe, Tn. and Barry (Melissa) Hopkins of Columbia; daughter, Amy Hopkins of Brentwood; sister, Peggy Jean Cochran of Nashville; mother-in-law, Louise Lunn of Burns; four grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends.
Visitation starts at noon on Friday, Jan. 18, with services at 2 p.m., at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home with Jonathan Jones and Glen Alexander officiating, followed by burial in Spring Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Spring Hill Church of Christ and Spring Hill Lions Club.
Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Spring Hill Lions Club.
