Red hot Lady Rockets notch sixth-straight victory

"The girls came ready to play and were focused tonight. Van Buren has given us problems; we knew we had to play good. I think we are on a pace where we want to be," Forrest Head Coach Robby Reasonover said after the Lady Rockets won their sixth-straight game, trouncing the Eaglettes 64-27 at home Tuesday night.

The Lady Rockets are ranked fifth in the state in the latest AP poll and have now won 12 out of their last 13 contests, are undefeated in District 9A play at 6-0, and, according to Reasonover, "are hungry."

"I think the MTCS game really woke us up, Reasonover said, we have a board in the locker room and they are marking the games off to finish undefeated."

The Lady Rockets were merciless in the first quarter, swarming on defense and knocking down shot after shot and the score ballooned to 21-4 by the end of the period. The play in the low post by Gaby Bussell, Summer Waggoner and Beth Hawn was spectacular.
