Barbara Benton Peer

Mrs. Barbara Benton Peer, 74, of Brentwood, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at Baptist Hospital, Nashville.

Mrs. Peer was a native of Chicago, Ill. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claire and Mabel Brown Benton.

She is survived by her husband, Rex E. Peer, of Brentwood; two daughters, Rachel Thompson of Nashville and Cindy Green of Chapel Hill; a son, Ryan Rex Peer of Nashville; a brother, Dick Benton of Sioux City, Iowa; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were conducted Jan. 22 at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
