Truly Mai Foxx
Mrs. Truly Mai Foxx, 85, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Foxx was a native of Mulberry, Tn., a retired cook from the Petersburg Senior Citizens Center, and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Lewisburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elliott and Estelle Sebastian Holmon; husband, Joe Henry Foxx; sons Grover Foxx and Robert Lee Holmon; son-in-law, Wallace Greer, Jr.; daughters-in-law, Tammy Foxx and Irene Foxx; 12 brothers and sisters; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.
She is survived by two daughters, Annie "Sally" McKinney of Lewisburg and Mattie Greer of Shelbyville; seven sons, Bobby (Freda) Foxx, Willie M. Foxx, Andy (Vickie) Foxx, Calvin (Lela) Foxx, all of Lewisburg, Dennis (Shanna) Foxx of Shelbyville, Ricky (Betty) Foxx of Murfreesboro, and Tim (Amy) Foxx of Smyrna; sister, Ruby Lee Patterson of Dayton, Ohio; brother, W.T. (Violet) Holmon of Fayetteville; daughter-in-law, Darlene Holmon of Lewisburg; 31 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses, with Bro. John Muller officiating.
The family of Mrs. Foxx would like to give thanks to God for giving us a loving mother. Special thanks to Lela Foxx, a loving and devoted daughter-in-law, and to everyone for cards, flowers and prayer during this time.
