After squandering a seven-point second-half lead, LMS found themselves trailing the Lady Cougars by a point with just over a minute left to play in the game. The Tigerettes, though, stepped up in crunch time and ended the game with an 8-2 run to pull out the victory.
Point guard Mary Medley came up big for Lewisburg down the stretch, scoring seven of her game-high 10 points in the final minute of the game to help lead the Tigerettes to the win. Center Keyerra Allen and shooting guard Devon Hasty also added six points apiece for Lewisburg. Allen grabbed a team high seven rebounds for LMS, while Hasty recorded four steals. Austyn Whaley tallied five points, five rebounds, six steals, and two assists for Lewisburg as well and reserve forward Keondra Prowell had two points, six rebounds, three steals, and two assists.
