Douglas J. Roddy
Douglas J. Roddy, 76, died Feb. 9, 2008, at his residence in Crump, Tn.
Mr. Roddy was born in Nashville and grew up in Lewisburg. He served two tours in the Army during the Korean War and was a contract adminstrator for the government. He was a member of the Mt. View Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter B. and Ruth Harris Roddy; wife, Agnes Nell Collins; and brother, David Collins.
He is survived by three daughters, Tammy (Bobby) Roddy of Crump, Trudie McCormick Harris of Flowery Branch, Ga., and Janell McCormick (Frank) Musgrave of Smyrna; two brothers, Donald Roddy of Athens, Ala. and Charles Edward Collins of Huntsville, Ala.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Feb. 11, at Shackelford Chapel with Joe Paul Bryant officiating, followed by burial in Mountain View Cemetery.
Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, Inc. were in charge of arrangements.
