That's what Marshall County High School has done this year. Tigert's Tigers have turned it around, going from 8-19 last year and a fourth-place finish in District 10AA to the regular season championship this year.
The Tigers (21-5) have lost five games this season, two to AAA schools, one to arch rival Giles County, and two to the number sixth ranked Class A Culleoka Warriors.
The Tigers traveled to Culleoka Thursday night for their regular season finale, losing 73-62.
"We wanted a tough road game going into the tournament and we got it tonight. It was a well-fought game. And give Culleoka credit, they came to play and won the battle. A game like this will do nothing but help us," said MCHS head coach Jason Tigert.
