After defeating the Lady Raiders by an average of 32 points in their two regular season encounters, MCHS built a 33-14 lead at halftime before outscoring Spring Hill 27-8 over the final two quarters to roll to the 38-point victory. With the win, Marshall County advances to face arch rival Giles County in the semifinals Thursday in Lewisburg.
Having yielded just 23.3 points per game in their previous four outings, the Tigerettes limited Spring Hill to nine field goals on 27 percent shooting and forced 21 Lady Raider turnovers.
MCHS shot 43 percent from the floor (26-60) and committed only eight turnovers. The Tigerettes also grabbed 19 offensive rebounds and finished with a 41-28 edge on the boards overall.
