Lois Wanda Thomason Scott
Mrs. Lois Wanda Thomason Scott, 82, of Petersburg, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Scott was a native of Madison County, Ala. She was Nutrition Site Manager for the Petersburg Senior Citizens Center, a homemaker, and a member of the Cane Creek Church of Christ. She was a long time writer for the Elk Valley Times and the Lewisburg Tribune.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J. W. and Savilla Hopkins Thomason; husband, Frank Scott; daughter, Wanda Sue Neill; son, Andrew Benton Scott; brother, Willard Thomason; sister, Gwendolyn Hastings; and granddaughter, Jessica Scott.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Hardin and Frances Murdock, both of Petersburg; son, David Scott of Kansas; brothers and sisters, Louise Hudson and Betty Sue Johnson, both of Fayetteville, Gene Thomason of Columbia, Maurice Thomason of Thompson's Station, Phillip "Nick" Thomason of Boonshill, Leonard Finus Thomason of Madison, and Annie Ruth Roden of Cornersville; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home, with Bro. Wayne Hastings and Bro. James Campbell officiating, followed by burial in Old Orchard Cemetery.
