Lady Rockets Three-peat!

District 9A MVP Gaby Bussell flew out of the intros and pasted 18 first-half points on MTCS to spark the Lady Rockets' 69-53 title win Monday night.

It will be a cheer that resonates for years to come in Chapel Hill and this particular Forrest team will be the mind vision to the sound.

Chapel Hill's hardwood heroines won their third consecutive District 9A title Monday night, soundly defeating Middle Tennessee Christian School 69-53.

Gaby Bussell, District 9A MVP, said, "It felt a lot closer than it was. I felt like it would never end. This feels good. This is our senior year and we have won three straight district titles. What better can you ask for?"

Ayla Young, the tournament MVP said, "It is an awesome feeling. It felt much closer than it was because they were playing such good defense, but we kept it going."

Asked if she was satisfied, Young responded, "I want to win region, win sub-state, win state, and then I will be satisfied."
