Mr. Amos Cheatham Bond, 86, of Lewisburg, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Mr. Bond was a native of Marshall County. He was a retired entrepreneur and a member of the Church Street Church of Christ and the Lewisburg Elks Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo Bond and Ora Cheatham Bond.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, June Bond of Lewisburg; sister-in-law, Marcia G. Farrar, of Palm City, Fla.; nieces June Farrar of Atlanta, Ga. and Marcia Farrar of Palm City, Fla.; nephew, John Farrar of Chattanooga; two great-nieces and two great-nephews.
Funeral services were conducted on Feb. 13 from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home, with Joe Corley officiating, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bill Derryberry, Wayne Jones, J.B. Anderson, Arnold Lilly, Wayne Ingram, and Ronnie Davis.
Honorary pallbearers were Bill Lowe, Bill Ezell, Billy Wayne Adams, Harold Wiggins, Phil Sanders, Jim Bingham, Jack Higgs, Ed Feagins, C.B. Barnes, and Troxler Craig.
