Mr. Don B. Wilson, 87, of Chapel Hill, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, in Columbia.
Mr. Wilson was a native of Marshall County. He was a graduate of Forrest High School and attended MTSU until joining the renowned Flying Tigers Squadron. While with the Flying Tigers during World War II, he served in Burma, India and China. Mr. Wilson was a member of the Church of Christ and a life-long farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delwin and Gertrude Blackwell Wilson; his wife, Dorothy Hedgcoth Wilson; and three brothers, Hoyte, Lewis, and James Wilson.
He is survived by a daughter, Eileen Wilson of Seattle, Wa.; two sons, Randall B. Wilson of Chapel Hill and Phillip E. Wilson of Lewisburg; brother, Jerry Wilson of Cornersville; sister, Edna Crutcher of Clarksville; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Feb. 16, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Stan Butt officiating, followed by burial in the Wilson Family Cemetery.
