Willie Emma Haynes
Mrs. Willie Emma "Free Willy" Haynes, 81, of Cornersville, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at River Park Hospital, McMinnville.
Mrs. Haynes was a native of Marshall County. She loved the outdoors, particularly flowers and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Annie Ruth Walker; husband, James Ezell Haynes; and brothers Harrison and Harry Walker.
She is survived by three daughters, Shirley (Thomas) Brown of Pulaski, Peggy (Bobby) Edwards of Nashville, and Rosie Clack of Lewisburg; two sons, Michael (Sonya) Haynes of Moriarty, N.M. and Freddie (Marva) Haynes of Beaufort, S.C.; sisters, Thelma Henry and Margaret Allen, both of Cornersville; brothers, James (Lucille) Walker and Bobby (Paula) Walker, both of Lewisburg, and Billy (Margaret) Walker of Lawrenceburg; 12 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; several in-laws; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Feb. 23, at Cornersville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Ashley Cox officiating. Miinister Deborah Delores Haynes gave the eulogy. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery, Cornersville. Nieces, nephews and cousins served as pallbearers and flower bearers.
Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
