After defeating Cornersville by 20 points at the beginning of the season, the Eagles (24-6) appeared headed towards another convincing victory early on. They held an 11-point advantage midway through the second quarter.
CHS came storming back and cut the deficit to 25-22 by halftime prior to grabbing a 38-32 lead late in the third quarter. The Bulldogs then withstood a Summertown rally in the fourth quarter before eventually pulling away late for the eight-point win.
"When I came to Cornersville, I wanted our program to be like Summertown's. They have a great crowd and a great home court advantage," said CHS head coach Adrian Wilson. "I really respect their coach and how they play the game, so this is a tremendous win for us."
