Different day same result.

Having trounced East Literature 52-19 in their lone encounter during the regular season, the Marshall County Tigerettes (27-4) once again had little trouble disposing of the Lady Eagles Monday night, as they rolled to a 58-30 victory in the semifinals of the Region 5-AA tournament.

The Tigerettes methodically dismantled East Literature (11-19) and outscored the Lady Eagles in every quarter en route to their ninth straight win. With their triumph over the Lady Eagles, Marshall County will play District 10-AA rival Hickman County for the fourth time this season in the Region tournament finals.

"It was a little harder this time. We were just a little bit more consistent than they were and we were able to pull away," said MCHS head coach David Steely. "They are athletic, but we're just as athletic as they were inside and we were a lot more skilled at every position."
