Kroger offering $4 generic prescriptions

NASHVILLE -- The Kroger Co. is now offering pharmacy customers generic drugs for $4 per prescription at its stores in and around Nashville.

The $4 price applies to more than 300 generic drugs prescribed for 30-day supplies and is available at 62 pharmacies at Kroger stores in and around Nashville. This includes all of Middle Tennessee, as well as Bowling Green, KY. A list of the participating pharmacies and eligible generic drugs are available at or by calling 877-479-5478.

The Kroger initiative includes generic alternatives for some of the most commonly prescribed drugs used to treat conditions such as diabetes, asthma, depression, heart disease, thyroid and other health problems.
