Mary Rogers Haskins
Mrs. Mary Rogers Haskins, 88, of Belfast, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at NHC Oakwood.
Mrs. Haskins was a native of Warrior, Ala. and was a 1941 graduate of St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing in Birmingham. She worked for several doctors in the area, was the company nurse at Florence Stove, and was one of the first registered nurses at NHC Oakwood. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Mary Cornelius Rogers; and her husband, L. Donald Haskins.
She is survived by her son, Roger Jordon of Belfast; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will be at London Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, Feb. 29, for visitation.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 1, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, with Leland Carden officiating, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gary Fugate, Harold Fugate, Kevin Jordon, David Rooker, Thomas Haskins, and Tommy Haskins.
