The Marshall County Tigerettes, led by Lauren March's 22 points demolished Gibson County 74-45 at the TSSAA Farm Bureau Basketball Championships at MTSU.
MCHS jumped on Gibson County early and often, jumping out to a 20-4 lead and never looked back.
The 30-4 Lewisburg girls were red hot, shooting 71 percent from the field in the first half while holding the Lady Pioneers to just twenty one percent with a stifling defensive effort.
MCHS grew the lead to 42-15 by halftime and cruised home to victory.
Besides scoring 22 points, March hauled down 8 rebounds, and swatted away four shots.
McKenna Moffett added 13 points, grabbed 9 boards, and had 6 assists.
Danika "The Glove' Hopkins had 12 points, Jessica "The Assasin" McQueen was 3-4 from beyond the three-point stripe and finished with 9 points, and Jakerra Simmons was solid all game, scoring 8 and holding down the fort in the paint with a great defensive effort.
Moffett, McQueen, and March all played 31 minutes in the contest.
The Tigerettes take on McMinn Central, who defeated the defending champion Austin-East Lady Roadrunners on Friday at 5:00pm at the Murphy Center.
