New pastor at Church St. Church of Christ

On Sunday, March 2, the Church Street Church of Christ welcomed John B. Tracy as its new pulpit minister. John was born in Columbus, Ohio, where he graduated from high school in 1967. He attended Lipscomb University in Nashville, and graduated with honors with a BA in Speech in 1971.

Following graduation, John married Peggy Littrell of Atlanta. Together they moved to Auburn, Ala. where John graduated with a MA in Speech Communication in 1973. He taught at Mercer University in Macon, Ga., before beginning full time church work. Since 1975, John has served Church of Christ congregations in Chattanooga and in Macon, Doraville and Marietta, Georgia. From 1985 to 1988, he departed from preaching to serve as Executive Director of Georgia AGAPE Inc., a social services agency based in Atlanta.
