The Robert Lewis Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution met at 2 p.m., February 23, at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall for its annual George Washington Tea.

Regent Bonnie Scheuc-henzuber played the National Society's informative and interesting DVD, "We Are the DAR", which showed the many projects.

Community service awards were presented to three of Marshall County's outstanding citizens: Beverly Little, Betty Ann Ogilvie, and Barbara Woods.

Lisa Jackson, who was unable to attend, was also honored.

The presenters were Mary Ann Roberts and Barbara Jones.

Hostesses for the tea were Dixie Waters, Linda Orr, and Barbara Jones. The serving table was beautifully decorated in a red, white and blue theme.
