Coming off their huge comeback victory over Chapel Hill on Tuesday, the Lewisburg Middle School Tigers continued their hot streak Thursday, sweeping a doubleheader to move to 9-2 in the Big South Conference.

In the first game, LMS defeated South Lawrence 15-0 in five innings behind some great mound work by Chris Chapman, who hurled a complete game shut-out and struck out seven to gain the win. The Tiger bats also stayed hot with Brandon Bush leading the offense with four hits and John Brent Reese, Chris Chapman, and Jesse Kilpatrick each added two hits in the shellacking.

In the nightcap, LMS finished off the sweep, blasting New Prospect by a score of 16-4. Dylan McKnight earned the win on the mound. John Brent Reese, Aaron Thomason, and Cody Vernon all banged out three hits for the Tigers and Brandon Bush and Chris Chapman added two hits apiece.
