Top, the kindergartners of Westhills Elementary School recently celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday by eating green eggs and ham. The boys and girls gave what they felt was the secret to green eggs: pickle juice, green leaves, green apples, green frogs, and green grapes were among the most commonly mentioned secrets. Middle, Pajamas and 'Cat in the Hat' attire were the order of the day. Westhills fifth and sixth graders, as well as several WES teachers, stopped by the kindergarten classes to read to the students. At left, Mr. Blackmon reads a favorite Dr. Seuss book to Mrs. Blalock's class.
