The Cornersville Lady Bulldogs continued their rampage through District 11-A Thursday, shellacking the Moore County Raiderettes 11-0 in five innings at home. With the victory, the Lady Bulldogs extended their winning streak over Moore County (4-4, 3-3 District) to 11 games and have outscored their four District opponents this season by a count of 59-0.

Cornersville had 12 different players record at least one hit in the contest and finished with 16 base knocks overall. Catcher Amanda Griggs went 3-3 with a double, 2 RBIs and a run scored to lead the Lady Bulldog assault, while shortstop Tori Wolaver and left fielder Lindsey Dalton both had a pair of singles and a run scored, with Wolaver also recording a RBI. Katie Pigg, Chrissy Worth, Sarah King, Jessica Dillard, Lori Beth Adams, Alex Wolaver, Erica Blackwell, Savannah Cole, and Haley Fagan each registered a hit for CHS as well.

Cole, meanwhile, picked up the win in the circle for the Lady Bulldogs and racked up seven strikeouts over three innings while yielding only two hits. Fagan then relieved Cole in the fourth and tallied three strikeouts in two perfect innings of work.

CHS wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, pushing across four runs in the bottom of the first on five two-out hits to take a 4-0 lead.

Pigg started the two-out rally with a single before advancing to second on a wild pitch and scoring on a RBI single by Griggs to make it 1-0.

After driving in courtesy runner Jessica King with a RBI triple, Sarah King came home on an Adams RBI single to give the Lady Bulldogs a 3-0 advantage.

Adams then scored all the way from first on a single by Lindsey Dalton when Moore County center fielder Randa Prater allowed the ball to skip past her and roll to the fence.

In the top of the second, the Raiderettes put runners on first and second with one out thanks to singles from Jillian Hamilton and Lacy Carver. Cole, however, bore down and retired the next two Moore County batters on a strikeout and groundout to preserve Cornersville's four-run lead.

The Lady Bulldogs opened up a 5-0 advantage in the bottom of the second on a RBI single by Griggs before stretching their lead to 6-0 in the third when Cole plated Dalton with a RBI single after Dalton had singled and advanced to third on two passed balls.

Cornersville then brought the 10-run mercy rule into effect in the fourth by crossing home plate five times with the help of seven hits to forge an 11-0 advantage. Following a one-out single by Worth, Griggs doubled to put runners on second and third before Dillard drove in Worth with a RBI single to make it 7-0.

After plating Griggs and Dillard with a two-run single, Alex Wolaver came home on a Blackwell RBI single to stake CHS to a 10-0 lead.

Blackwell then advanced to third on a single by Fagan and a passed ball prior to scoring on a RBI single by Tori Wolaver.
