Patricia Ann Black
Mrs. Patricia Ann Black, 60, of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, April 6, 2008, in Nashville.
Mrs. Black was a native of Maury County. She was retired from the Daily News Journal of Murfreesboro and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Della Mae Howell Scribner; son, Sam Black, Jr.; stepson, William Sam Black; brother, Billy Scribner; stepsister, Willow Dean Crews; and stepbrothers, Richard Hanvy and James and Jerry Scribner.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Black, Sr. of Murfreesboro; three daughters, Tammy Crick of Rockvale, and Melissa Gallardo and Michelle Hernandez, and son Bobby Black, all of Murfreesboro; stepdaughter, Wanda Crook of Louisiana; two stepsons, Rick Black of Lewisburg and James Black of Louisiana; four sisters, Doris Roberts and Gayle Maddox, both of Nashville, Faye Hart of White House, and Betty Clark of Gallatin; brother, Larry Scribner of West Virginia; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home, with Br. David Humphrey officiating, followed by burial in Friendship Cemetery, Culleoka.
