Senior center honors Carden

The Marshall County Senior Citizens Board of Directors recently presented the Rev. Leland Carden with a plaque for his service as board chairman from 2003 to 2007.

'Reverend Carden has done a lot of important work for our board and community during the years he served as board chairman. We truly appreciate his many efforts for the senior citizens of Marshall County,' said Senior Center Director Frances Murdock.

The current Senior Citizens Board Chairman is Carol Perryman.

Marshall County Senior Citizens, Inc. is a non-profit organization funded by the Area Agency on Aging, the Rural Transit Authority, Marshall County, United Way, and private and corporate donations. Senior Citizens sponsors a variety of health and fitness, education, recreation, and service programs for people over 55 years old. For information call 359-1463.
