The Rockets banged out 18 hits, led by Colin Henson, who went 4-4 with six RBIs and three stolen bases. Alex Ontiveros had a perfect 3-for-3 day at the dish and drove in two. Seth Brothers also was 3-for-3 with four runs scored and four RBIs. Davis was the third Rocket to go 3-for-3 with two ribbies, and he crossed home four times.
Coy Shultz, who got the win, started on the mound for Forrest and did not allow a run across until the Rockets already led 8-0. Shultz was relieved with two outs in the third after surrendering five runs by Hayden "Cookie" Cook, who pitched 2 1/3 innings of shutout ball.
After Shultz retired the side in the first inning, Jacob "The Table Setter" Davis started the home half with a sharp single to center and stole second. Brothers knocked in Davis with a single up the middle, stole second, and went to third on a wild pitch.
Henson hit a rocket up the middle that nailed Community hurler Cody Pierce in the leg. Brothers scored from third as Henson was safe on the play. Ontiveros delivered a two out single to right to give the Rockets a 3-0 lead.
Shultz set the Vikings down 1-2-3 in the second and led off the bottom of the inning with a single to center field.
