The Tigerettes (13-7-1, 9-3) are coming off an impressive showing at the Border Battle last weekend in Lincoln County, where they went 3-1, losing to a tough AAA Blackman team, 2-1, deep into the tournament brackets.
After losing to District rival Page Monday night, the Tigerettes came out re-charged and swept out the visiting Lady Panthers from Lewis County, 2-1 and 3-1, in two five-inning contests.
MCHS senior first-sacker Lauren Anderson, the heroine of game one with a base-knocking game-winning hit in the bottom of the fifth inning, said after the game, "We just want to take it one game at a time and we will be fine. We are just trying to get to first place in the District to get the home field advantage in the tournament."
