John Alvis Bigham

Mr. John Alvis Bigham, 86, of Lewisburg, died Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Marshall Medical Center.

Mr. Bigham was a native of Marshall County. He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II and the Korean Conflict, and was retired from teaching at the vocational technical school in Shelbyville. Mr. Bigham was a member, and former elder, of the Church Street Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Howlett and Lillian Sweeney Bigham; brother, David Bigham; and sisters, Stella and Fostine Bigham.

He is survived by his wife, Joetta Pigg Bigham; sons, Terry (Lisa) Bigham of Tullahoma and Don (Kerrie) Bigham of Lewisburg; niece, Barbara Jones; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, April 22, in Lone Oak Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Glenn Hardison, Don Ledford, Lee Morrison, Wayne Cozart, Will Wilson, and Tommy Jordan.

London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
