Front, Dalton Southall and Kyla Young, and back, Katy Keel and Kayla Wright, display just a few of the beautiful plants to be found in the LMS greenhouse.
Everyone has been dreaming over the winter about heading outside to dig in the dirt and plant some flowers and vegetables. The time has arrived to do just that, and the students at Lewisburg Middle School are ready to assist. For the past several weeks, the young men and women have nurtured baskets filled with flowers and ferns, and flats of plants that are now ready to put in the ground. Beginning Monday, April 28, the LMS Greenhouse (behind the school) will open for business every weekday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. until all the plants are gone. They are selling flats, six packs, and individual plants, hanging pots, and asparagus ferns at competitive prices. Proceeds from the sales will help fund future projects in the LMS Greenhouse.
