Ralph Calvin Thompson
Mr. Ralph Calvin Thompson, 79, of Lewisburg, died Monday, April 28, 2008, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Mr. Thompson was a native of Micaville, N.C. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was retired from Teledyne as a manufacturing engineer. He loved golf and worked at Saddlecreek Golf Club. He was a member of Burnsville Free Will Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Richard Thompson and Viola Allen Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Tommie Edwards Thompson of Lewisburg; daughter, Teri Foster of Petersburg; sisters, Wreda Chrisaw of Manassas, Va. and Pauline Anglin of Waynesville, N.C.; brother, James Lee Thompson of Burnsville, N.C.; and grandchildren, Kaylee and Jesse Foster.
The family will receive friends at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 30.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 1, from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home, with Brother Paul Lucas officiating, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery. The United States Air Force will provide military honors.
