LMS to host career day

Lewisburg Middle School will host Career Day on Wednesday, May 14. Two sessions will be held: the first from 8 to 11:30 a.m., and the second from 1:00 to 2:50 p.m. Many local professionals will be on hand to speak throughout the day.

Slated to speak to the students are Mike Wiles, Officer Doug Alexander, nurse Julie Selvey, Travis McKnight, Bill Spence, Richard Medley, Aubrey Flagg, Shawna Cowser, Doug Lowery, Ryan Johnson, Dr. Larry Thomas, Donna Hargrove, Jim Rickman, Justin Foster, Jason Finch, Ginger Bussell, Kenneth George, Britt Wiles, Jim Bingham, Steve Lewis, Derek Herman, Keith Hollingsworth, Henry Dowlen, Robert Newberry, Patrick Jordan, Betsye Ledford, Coach Don Thomas, Steve Anderson, Nick Phillips, Dr. Ray Wakefield, Morgan Thomas, Mayor Bob Phillips, Marshall Medical Center representatives, Journey's representatives, and Marshall County Vocational Tech teachers.

Students are encouraged to ask the speakers questions, and parents of LMS students are welcome to attend the sessions and to have lunch with their children. The cost to eat is $2.40. There is no charge to attend the Career Day sessions.
