'A whole different attitude'

One more win. That's all the Cornersville Lady Bulldogs (24-8) need to earn a berth in the State Tournament after they crushed District 12-A champ Summertown, 8-1, at home on Wednesday in the championship game of the Region 6-A tourney.

Summertown came into Wednesday's contest with an impressive 27-8 record and had whipped Richland, 8-0, in the first round of the Region tournament two days earlier. Cornersville made surprisingly easy work of the Lady Eagles, as they built a 7-0 lead through the first four innings of play before coasting to the seven-run victory. Thanks to their win over Summertown, the Lady Bulldogs will host East Robertson in the Sectional tonight.
